Randy & Vicki Smith

Lead Pastors

Randy and Vicki Smith have served as the lead pastors of The Healing Place since 2003. They have a vision for hurting people and a “whosoever will” mentality. God has used them greatly to influence the Trussville community. Their love for God and vision for change is what drives the success of The Healing Place. Randy and Vicki have more than three decades of ministerial experience. They have served in various rolls such as children’s pastors, student pastors, music pastors, and senior adult pastors as well as State Youth Directors in the Church of God in Mississippi and Louisiana. Their heart, however, is that of a lead pastor. Randy and Vicki have two daughters, Bridgett and Tiffney, and the five most beautiful grandchildren in the world!

Justin & Tiffney Bates

Campus Pastors: St. Clair

Justin and Tiffney Bates have served at The Healing Place since June of 2006. Since the spring of 2018, they have served as the campus pastors for our St. Clair campus. Prior to his service in ministry, Justin worked full-time in the seafood industry as an oyster fisherman along the Alabama coast. He married his childhood sweetheart, Tiffney, in 2007. They now have two young sons named Brandt and Ethan. They enjoy spending time with family, boating, and trying to successfully recreate Pinterest recipes.

Joe Bain

Associate Pastor: Children

Joe Bain is the children’s pastor and began serving at The Healing Place in April 2019. For more than sixteen years, he has served as a student pastor in north and central Alabama. Joe has been married to Erika since 2002. They have three children: Malachi, Josiah, and Judah. Joe loves golf, basketball, coaching, and spending time with his family.

Anthony Bellew

Associate Pastor: Senior Adults

Anthony Bellew has been the senior adult pastor and overseer of care ministries since 2016. Previously, he served for thirty years as a volunteer in various ministries including Christian education and nursing home ministry. Anthony has been married to Renee since 1997; they have two children, McKenzie and Carter. Anthony loves hiking, fishing, camping, good books, and cars.

Mark Correll

Evangelism

Mark Correll has been in ministry for more than thirty years. He and his wife, Sheryl, became lead pastors in 1985. In 2007, they transitioned out of lead pastoring and into a ministry of evangelism and teaching. Under Mark Correll Ministries International, Mark has reached communities around the United States and the world. He continues to coordinate tours to the Holy Land, supports several ministries in Israel, and offers a website with teaching products and media. Mark and Sheryl have three children: Mark Jr., Cassie, and Bethany. They have seven beautiful grandchildren: Wilder, Mary Layne, Nora Ruth, Lucas, Sam, Brody, and Eli James.

Larry Graham

Associate Pastor: Music

Larry Graham has served as the music pastor at The Healing Place since July of 2006. He has been involved in ministry for more than thirty years and has served on the Alabama State Music Committee for fourteen years. He has been happily married to Denise “Smitty” Graham for thirty-four years. They have one son, Wesley, who is married to Megan. Larry and Smitty have three grandchildren, Lucy, Bennett, and Joellen. He loves Alabama Football and playing golf. 

Ashlyn Lett

Associate Pastor: Students

Ashlyn Lett has served as the student pastor since March of 2020, but began her time serving The Healing Place as an intern in the fall of 2019.  Growing up with pastors as parents, Ashlyn acquired a passion for ministry at a young age. Having served as a children’s ministry director, worship leader, student pastor, softball coach, and public school teacher, she has obtained various ministerial and career experiences. She is a licensed minister, a certified teacher, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English from Samford University. In her spare time, she enjoys music, writing, watching college softball, drinking coffee, and visiting the beach.

Terry Williams

Associate Pastor: Counseling

Terry has a rich and diverse history in pastoral ministries having served as a lead pastor of various churches in Alabama and Tennessee, a Therapist and Chaplain with Bradford Health Services, and a hospice chaplain. Terry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Ministry from Lee University and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  He is an Ordained Bishop in The Church of God, a Licensed Professional Counselor by The Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling, and a member of The American Association of Christian Counselors.   Married since 1982 to Terri, they have two children;  Ashley who is married to Kenneth, and Tyler who is married to Jenna.  He is the proud PawPaw of two grandsons, Evan and Jack!

Tommy Butler

Media

Tommy Butler has served as the media director since 2016. He has served in media ministry at various churches for seventeen years. Tommy has been happily married to his wife, Leahia, since 1997. They have two children, Noah and Anna Grace.  Tommy enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.

Smitty Graham

Executive Assistant

Shelby Denise Graham serves as the executive assistant of The Healing Place Church. While serving the church, she also embodies many roles. She is wife to Larry Graham, mom to Wesley Graham, mother-in-law to Megan Graham, and Gigi to her precious grandchildren—Lucy, Bennett, and Joellen.  She is “Denise” to her mother and siblings; she is “Smitty” to her friends. Whatever title she holds, she is blessed to live the life God has given her.  She enjoys reading, sewing, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Wes Graham

Assistant To The Music Pastor

Wes Graham has served at The Healing Place since 2006. He is also a public school principal in the Birmingham area. Wes is married to Megan Graham. They have three beautiful children: Lucy, Bennett, and Joellen. Wes loves all types of music and sports, especially Alabama football.

David Hunsinger

Security

David Hunsinger is the security director and has served in church ministries for nineteen years. He organized the security program at The Healing Place in 2016 and is currently a private investigator. He served nineteen years as a law enforcement officer, including two police academies and being a Field Training Officer for new police officers. He has since retired and is a member of the NRA and USCCA. He is also a NRA Firearms Instructor and teaches church security teams to be state certified. He is a “Level Trainer 2” with the State of Alabama Security Regulatory Board.

He has been married to Wanda Hunsinger since December 2001. They have seven children: Jeff, Michelle, Amy, Christopher, Tracy, Jimmy and Maranda. They also have four grandchildren: Sadie, Kyler, Austin and Cameron. His interests are security training, firearms, awareness training, protecting his church, and serving the LORD.

Percy Jones

Ministry Assistant to the Lead Pastor

Percy Jones is currently serving as the ministry assistant to the lead pastor. Previously, he served as associate pastor at New Beginning Christian Fellowship and holds a degree in Biblical Studies. Percy is also a licensed electrician. He has been married to Labrina since 2014. He enjoys watching action-packed movies and completing electrical work.

Aimee Krenz

Graphics

Aimee Krenz has served as the graphic designer at The Healing Place Church since May of 2007. She has served in different areas of ministry including children’s, student, and media ministry since 1996. Aimee married Beau Krenz in December of 2009.  They had a son named Judah in March of 2012, and another son, Jonah, in June of 2017. In her spare time, Aimee enjoys spending time with her family, knitting, and scuba diving.

Vicki Lee

Business Administration

Vicki Lee has been the business administrator at The Healing Place Church since 2014. She is a retired banker of twenty-five years and has worked in church administration for fourteen years. Vicki has been involved in ministry work, as a volunteer and paid worker for more than thirty years. Vicki has been married to Ricky Lee since 1986. She and Ricky have three grown children: Brett Lee, Tiffany Brasher, and Heather Brasher. They have five wonderful grandchildren: Ava, Brodie, Adalyn, Bentlee, and Remington.  Vicki’s first love is spending time with her family. She and Ricky love to travel to different places. She enjoys reading, shopping, and gardening.

Renee Pierce

Nursery

Renee Pierce has served as the nursery director at The Healing Place since 2016. She has worked with children and youth for the last twenty years. Renee has been happily married to her husband, Tim, since 2004, and they have a daughter named Katelyn. She enjoys traveling, fishing, and the outdoors.
