Where is the church?

We are located in Trussville, AL at 5709 Trussville Clay Road, 35173. Directions: From I-59 North, take exit 143 [Deerfoot Parkway]. Keep to your right onto Deerfoot Parkway heading west. Go to the traffic light at Trussville Clay Road and turn left. The Healing Place Church will be less than 3 miles on your left.

What is the format of your service?

Each of our services offers a mix of traditional and contemporary music followed by a Christ-centered message, often consisting of powerful dramatic performances, thought-provoking media presentations and creative visual illustrations.

What do I need to wear? 

Come as you are. Our congregation varies in their attire from casual to semi-formal wear. Whether you choose to wear jeans and a t-shirt, a suit, or a dress, we are not focused on your outward appearance. It is our desire that you experience a loving God in a personal way.

What 's offered for children? 

While your children are always welcomed to join you for worship in our auditorium, childcare is provided during each service. Our kid’s ministry is categorized by four age groups: Nursery for ages 0-2, Preschool for ages 3 & 4, THPKids Jr. for ages 5-7, and THPKids for ages 8-12. If you have older children in grades 6-12, THP Students meet every Wednesday night at 6:30pm.

How often will I be contacted?

Upon your first time attending, you may visit our Information Center to complete a guest card and receive a complimentary gift. If you choose to complete the card, you may note if you would like text updates. To subscribe to this feature, text UPDATES to 205-655-5000. If you would like to meet with the pastor, you may call our office to schedule an appointment.

Why do we clap our hands?

Psalm 47:1 says,
“Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.”

Why do we lift our hands?

Psalm 63:4 says,
“Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.”

Why do we give audible praise?

Acts 4:24 says,
"So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: 'Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them.'"

Why do we believe in speaking with tongues and the interpretation of those tongues?

1 Cor. 14:39 says,
“Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.”
 
 1 Cor. 14:27 says,
“If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret."

Why do we anoint with oil and pray for the sick?

James 5:14-15 says,
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
